Seneca the Philosopher
Seneca was a Roman philosopher, statesman and author.
He was Nero's preceptor and acted as Consul
from the death of Emperor Claudius, Nero's adoptive father,
until Nero's majority.
Seneca's writings show a high, unselfish nobility,
and had a great influence on the evolution of western thought.
Although the spelling is very different,
Seneca's name bears a likeness to the name selected for this company
which is rooted in the name of the founding principal.
A quotation of Seneca is also our guiding mantra:
"If one does not know to which port one is sailing,
no wind is favourable."
- Seneca
